Howdy CSI fans? With the tenth season of the show on air, it seems the show still has long way to go. The show also known as ‘CSI: Las Vegas’ which catches the attention of its viewers with its gritty subject matter and intriguing characters is believed to have made the forensic science degree much popular with the students. According to recent reports the number of students studying crime science and forensic science has more than doubled in the last five years. A survey of students led to the conclusion that about one- third of these students chose this profession due to its excessive coverage on world television.

The craze of this profession is so high that last year a report stated that in Britain the number of skilled workers was falling thanks to popularity of trendy courses such as forensic science. Contradicting the general view, many people feel that the rise in the popularity of criminology related courses was not due to shows like CSI. Many people feel that the students undertaking this course are not favored by employers as they feel that forensic science doesn’t have enough science. But whatever they may say, the fact is that CSI leaving its impact world over. It has revolutionized the world of criminology and the way people perceive it. Now after seeing CSI we are all more aware of what crime scene investigation is all about.

CSI is also leaving its mark in gaming industry. A new app called Seduce a Suicide Girl which has been written by the CSI creator, Anthony Zuiker has been a huge success. CSI is making the whole world experience the revolution in technology brought by it. Any thing which appears in the show becomes a trend. Various scientific tools shown in the show leave me obsessed. I am an ardent fan of the show. The unusual camera angles, hi-tech gadgets and the way crime is depicted are to vouch for.

CSI’s executive producer and creator, Anthony Zuiker is ready to modernize the book industry by releasing World’s First digital novel, LEVEL 26, on 15th September, 2009. It’s a first of its kind of novel which will show three minute clips after every 20 pages.

You will be wondering which technique he is using to show video clips through the pages of book. Wanna guess? …no, he is not providing any CD in it, that’s a very old concept and many books like this has been released. OK… he is taking help of internet and providing codes in his book which can be log in on his website to see three minutes clips called ‘Cyber Bridges’ which will be necessary to continue story.

The novel is about a serial killer who generates a new technique to kill his victims, other than the 25 methods known yet. That’s why the name of the novel is “LEVEL 26″.

Anthony Zuiker is taking full advantage of his super hit TV show CSI in promoting the sale of his novel as he has displayed ‘CSI’ on the cover of book. See yourself, picture is provided here.

When asked why he is using CSI’s popularity to increase novel’s sale volume, he answered that CSI is airing in 200 countries and has spawned $ 6 billion so far. It is his best work and he is known well through it. Further he added that the 10^th season of CSI, airing on 24^th September, 2009, is much better than before. Its double benefit to display the show’s name on cover book because will benefit each other. People like things with which they can associate themselves easily and CSI is something which every one is, at least aware of.

In the first upcoming episode of CSI, ‘Family affair’, the crime scene investigation team solves the murder of a famous actress who gets killed in a suspicious accident. The episode also showcases return of Sara. 2^nd episode ‘Ghost Town’ will be aired on 1^st October, 2009, in which CSI team focuses on the neighbors of the producer and drug dealer found dead in Vegas.

There’re no doubts over the tremendous success of the ‘CSI’ TV show. Currently, series is running with ninth successful season, with the very recent episode aired on April 30, 2009. It was entitled ‘The Gone Dead Train’ and the next episodes in row are ‘Hog Heaven‘ and ‘All In‘, scheduled to be aired on May 7, 2009 and May 14, 2009.   The series is known as one of the surprise success stories of CBS Network. The best thing, according to me, about the series is that the episodes are very self-dependent and simple ones. Each episode has a good ending where the goodness always takes over the baddies…. Happy endings.

Last September, rumors spread out that CSI would take the form of a movie following the path of ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘Friends‘. And, now, it has been confirmed that the movie version of the series would soon hit the theatres. Well, not sure how much soon! Anyways, let the tiny little arrow come out of the quiver and I would be here to tell you J

Truly saying, I am very much impressed by the CSI Franchise. Actually, these people know the actual meanings of being successful and popular also. We first got CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) - and it’s currently running with ninth season. Next came CSI: Miami, a spin-off of the original series, as of now, running with season 8. And, we then welcomed CSI: NY, another spin-off of the show, currently running with the fifth season. And, now those people have plans to bring the whole concept to big screen… amazing! Kudos to the brilliant minds, which are behind this great venture. Both the spin-offs of CSI managed to become equally popular as their predecessor and are receiving good ratings as well.

Which one is your favorite series among CSI, CSI: Miami and CSI: NY?
