CSI Season 9

It was October 9, 2008 when ‘CSI’ returned with its ninth season. The season opener was entitled ‘For Warrick (2)’. In the beginning of the season, we met Grissom who came to know about the condition of Warrick. We saw that Warrick had been shot in his car and Undersheriff reported witnessing the shooting. In the next scene, Warrick died in Grissom’s arms. Not knowing who the killer was, the entire team grieved for their friend. Meanwhile, Undersheriff plans to go to Mexico. After coming to know about Warrick’s death, Sara, one of the old friends, returned to the town. Second episode of season was entitled ‘The Happy Place’. Here, we saw that a would-be-married soon woman dived off her balcony and it forced Nick and Catherine to investigate why she did so.

Further investigation of the case let them know that a hypnotist, the one who also robbed banks, might be involved into the suicide. On the other hand, Grissom was investigating the vicious murder of a woman and discovered that her two year child was present when the woman was killed. Sara was seen confronting some issues of her past. Next to it was the episode entitled ‘Art Imitates Life’. Here we saw that the team was investigating the murder of a woman. The dead-body of the lady was found in the park posed to recreate life. That was not the only one case and the team came to know that several other murders had also been committed which follow the very same pattern. The investigation of the case led them to an artist whose models pose as dead bodies for his pictures. On the other hand, Ecklie hired a new detective, Riley Adams. We also met a counselor who appeared to associate them to deal with Warrick’s death. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Let It Bleed’. It was the Halloween time. Nick and Riley saw a men dressed as a cop robbing a convenience store. The daughter of a major drug lord was murdered and the team was seen investigating the case. While doing so, they went to a seedy club where Lindsey was found by Catherine, on the dance floor. There was an issue that made Wendy confront Dr. Robbins as it was revealed that the victim had three blood types in her body and two of them were male.

Next episode in row was entitled ‘Leave Out All the Rest’. In this episode, a body of a man was found in desert and no clues were there about the whereabouts of his girlfriend. Needle marks recognized on his body made Grissom to think that the needle marks were a form of sadomasochism and he ultimately turned to Lady Heather. We later saw that the case involves the world of domination. Circumstances made Grissom and Lady Heather to question their connection and Sara wondered over Grissom’s commitment. Then came the episode entitled ‘Say Uncle’. It was a party at Koreatown neighborhood in which the mother and uncle of a boy were murdered brutally. Park Bang the kid who witnessed the shooting later went missing.

Disappearance of the kid made Grissom to take a personal interest in the case. His investigation revealed that the killer was trying to stop the kid from talking. Next revelations were hair-raising when we came to know that the child was HIV positive and was put on an unauthorized medical trail by his mother. Next episode we saw was entitled ‘Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda’. In this episode, we saw Greg, Riley, and Brass investigating the death of a woman. Her daughter lapsed into coma as she was viciously beaten. While investigating the case, the team came to know that woman’s husband was a suspect in the murder of Trevor Murphy so chances were that the lady was murdered by his (Trevor’s) revengeful kids. On the other hand, Catherine and Nick were investigating the case of two teenagers. Grissom attended the trial of Natalie Davis. Then came the episode entitled ‘Young Man with a Horn’. Outside an infamous Las Vegas nightclub, the dead body of a popular young singer was found. Investigation of the case made CSI team thought that recent circumstances had a link to a 50 year old murder. Then was the episode entitled ‘19 Down… (1)’. In order to gain access to a main suspect in a murder case, Grissom joined the class of a well known criminal pathologist. Next episode was entitled ‘One to Go (2)’. It was the episode in which Grissom announced that his CSI term had come to an end and Langston got a permanent position on the team. It was surely very saddening and shocking news for all. Then came the episode entitled ‘The Grave Shift’. It was the first day for Dr. Langston on his job and man didn’t behave well, especially when cases starting overlapping. In ‘Disarmed and Dangerous’, a FBI agent was murdered and CSI had to get involved into the case in order to find out the murderer. Next episode of series was entitled ‘Deep Fried and Minty Fresh’. Nick and Langston were called to look into the murder case at a fast food restaurant. Then came the episode entitled ‘Miscarriage of Justice’. Series is currently running with its ninth season and several episodes are yet to be aired.
